Sem2 Devlog3- Production
We are chugging right along. After our third round of playtests we found a few more small fixes so we are on our way to finalizing those. As for art, I am working on the animatics that will appear as an intro and ending for our game Downpour. I have attached a sneak peek in this post as well :). We also had an issue with the enemy models not matching up with the current version so when I added the textures on my end they matched up so I pushed them but for others who did not have the course file it was the wrong size. I used Unity's FBX export to get the game's current version of the enemy to repaint and that has seemed to work. I am checking off our asset list and making lots of actual garbage to decorate our scenes and environment. I was also having issues since we switched to using git lfs for our large art dumps where my version control stopped pulling even after it was forced, so I again had to clone the repository. This has all been a really good learning experience overall so no complaints here but definitely not happy with wait times with my internet haha. I am so excited for our polishes and I cannot wait to share!
.......BFI is watching ;)............

It's interesting to hear all the troubles with the textures and git pulls, and like you mentioned it's a great experience to learn from in case it happens in future projects. I can't wait to see how your game ends up looking! The animation looks awesome and I'm excited to see the other one created for the intro/ending.
The animation looks really cute! It's good to hear that the game is on its way to being in its ideal working state, as it would be great to see how much time you can put into mostly focusing on the art itself. looking forward to the final product!
