Dev Log 3 - Scheduling My Work
Since the last dev log, some first-pass art has been created as well as the protagonist's side-kick, the turtle. He is being redawn to be rounder but this is the basic concept.
To schedule our work we have been doing weekly and biweekly sprints using Jira. We have been having meetings to set up our goals for the following sprints and in our last meeting we had a pretty large sprint that I think we will have to push to another print. I was given the sections for UI on the GDD as well as working with Shane on the art portions. Our team has had a rough GDD for a few weeks now and I'm glad we had our foot in the door for this one as it is a large document but has been a great reference for when we break off to do our individual tasks in sprints.
Our prototype is coming along well and we are starting to get more assets loaded in thanks to ur daily scrum posts we have been able to keep each other updated on what we have been completing. I know this point of the semester we are all scrambling to hand stuff in and finish assignments but this team has been great so far at communicating and I have no doubt we will have everything finished come the end of this class and the documentation needed.

Hi Madi! The first pass art turtle makes me shed several tears. He is truly stunning and I hope he knows that very clearly. It's motivating to hear that your group is actually putting your GDD to practical use throughout the week and that you're already doing regular sprints and protyping. I'm excited to see how this game turns out by the end of next semester and try not to be too jealous that you guys have first pass turtle on your team.
